I haven't tried it recently - since it's a direct login and I used to go through the Insteon app on my Android before. Replace the battery cover and slide Motion Sensor. Affix the sensor mount to a wall using the provided screws. The camera can be easily set up directly with your home Wi-Fi router. When prompted, press and hold the set button inside the battery compartment. No, you don’t need a hub to set up the Insteon Wi-Fi Camera. Follow the on-screen instructions in the Insteon app to add Motion Sensor. Since the DDNS is, I assume I can actually view my cameras from the internet which I've done when I had the Insteon Hub connected. Open Motion Sensor by removing the battery cover. I used VLC on my Ubuntu Linux system to watch live video, but I don't know how to access the video clips in the MicroSD card - which is not a problem since I have Windows 10 on two computers to download the files. Set up a specific route for the camera (to match the new IP and port). I’m guessing that pulling the power supply out of the camera base and plugging it in again many times zapped something. And the Camera IP Setup Tool never saw the wifi connection. When doing a manual install, with no Hub, it is important to make sure you set a static address. The Insteon IP Camera is now in the trash. The only way to verify this would be to go into the camera client->Device Management->Network Settings. You can disconnect the ethernet cable after setup is complete. Changed the IP and port for the camera (via the Android app). The Hub app should disable the cameras DHCP ability upon set up. Connect the ethernet cable to your router and plugin the power adapter. I installed a new 'Device 55' Insteon HD camera Paired successfully with my HUB, using the Android app to make the connection. I don't know how I'll re-set them up again if I do a factory reset later, but I'm sure there's a way without the Insteon Hub (which I still have, just in case anything funny happens). I have 3 Insteon PZT indoor cameras already installed. I did set them with the Insteon Hub, but I unplugged it to avoid conflicts with ISY and I am still using them. I bought the Insteon Camera 2864-22x cameras because they were cheap PT and recorded on movement. VideoLAN VLC will display live as will the Foscam app on my tablet or Android phones. I use a Firefox plugin on my Windows 10 computer to view recorded clips or download them via ftp with the same plugin.
